Director-General of the Department of African Affairs of the Foreign Ministry Du Xiaohui Visits Namibia

On October 24, 2025, Director-General of the Department of African Affairs of the Foreign Ministry Du Xiaohui visited Namibia, during which he met with Minister of International Relations and Trade of Namibia Selma Ashipala-Musavyi. Chinese Ambassador to Namibia Zhao Weiping attended the relevant events.

Du Xiaohui said that China attaches great importance to the development of China-Namibia relations and is ready to work with Namibia to take the implementation of the important common understandings reached between the two heads of state as a guide to deepen cooperation in areas such as economy, trade and energy, and deliver more outcomes of the Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation in Namibia.

Selma Ashipala-Musavyi congratulated China on successfully hosting the Global Leaders' Meeting on Women. She said that Namibia firmly adheres to the one-China principle, and looks forward to continuing the traditional friendship with China and attracting more Chinese enterprises to invest in Namibia.

Du Xiaohui also held talks with the Acting Executive Secretary at the Secretariat of the Southern African Customs Union.
