On November 11, 2025, Special Envoy Zhai Jun of the Chinese Government on the Middle East Issue, upon invitation, attended a reception hosted by the Embassy of Algeria in China to celebrate Algeria's National Day and the 71st anniversary of its Liberation Revolution. He also exchanged views with Algerian Ambassador to China Kaid Slimane Lahcen on China-Algeria relations and other topics.
