Vice Foreign Minister Zhang Yesui Has Consultations with Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Gholamali Khoshroo on Iranian Nuclear Issue

On August 11, Vice Foreign Minister Zhang Yesui had consultations with Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Gholamali Khoshroo on Iranian nuclear issue.

Khoshroo briefed Iran's position on the Framework for A Long-term Agreement proposed recently by U.K., France and Germany. Khoshroo stressed that Iran enjoyed the right of peaceful uses of nuclear energy and would cooperate with International Atomic Energy Agency(IAEA) and continuously commit itself to pursuing a long-term solution of Iranian nuclear issue through negotiation.

Zhang said that Iranian nuclear issue was currently at a sensitive moment and the most important issue at present was to maintain the process of talks and consultations. China hoped that all parties concerned keep patient and solve the issue appropriately at an early date through constructive cooperation within the framework of IAEA.

Zhang and Khoshroo also exchanged views on other issues of common interest.
