China firmly opposes the armed attacks by relevant countries against Iran’s nuclear facilities under the safeguards of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). Such acts violate the purposes and principles of the UN Charter, international law and the Statute of the IAEA, deal a severe blow to the international nuclear non-proliferation system, and inflict grave consequences on regional peace, security and stability.

China always stands for peaceful settlement of the Iranian nuclear issue through political and diplomatic means. China stands ready to work with all parties, continue to uphold an objective and impartial position to promote peace talks, and push for a fair and equitable solution that accommodates the concerns of all parties and is consistent with the rights and obligations under the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons, so as to earnestly uphold the international nuclear non-proliferation regime and promote peace and stability in the Middle East.
