Vice Foreign Minister Xie Feng Meets with Outgoing Brazilian Ambassador to China Paulo Estivallet

On July 5, 2022, Vice Foreign Minister Xie Feng met with outgoing Brazilian Ambassador to China Paulo Estivallet.

Xie Feng spoke highly of Ambassador Estivallet's efforts to deepen China-Brazil relations and promote pragmatic cooperation between the two countries during his tenure as Ambassador to China, and hopes that he will continue to care for and support the development of China-Brazil relations. Xie Feng said, in recent years, under the guidance of the two heads of state, China and Brazil have witnessed the steady development of bilateral relations and maintained sound communication on international and regional affairs. China is ready to work with Brazil to further deepen political mutual trust, expand mutually beneficial cooperation, and strengthen coordination in multilateral areas such as the United Nations and BRICS, so as to push the China-Brazil comprehensive strategic partnership to new levels.

Estivallet thanked the Chinese side for its support and facilitation during his tenure in China, expressing his willingness to continue to deepen bilateral cooperation in various areas and push for greater development of Brazil-China relations.
