The International Community Extends Condolences to China over the Ludian Earthquake in Yunnan (Continued 2)

From August 5 to 6, 2014, more foreign leaders sent messages or letters to President Xi Jinping and Premier Li Keqiang, extending condolences and support to the Chinese government and people over the Ludian earthquake in Yunnan Province.

These leaders include President of the Council of State and President of the Council of Ministers Raúl Castro of Cuba, Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzadin Waddaulah of Brunei, President Mahinda Rajapakse of Sri Lanka, President Mamnoon Hussain and Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif of Pakistan, Prime Minister Hun Sen of Cambodia, Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala of Nepal, Prime Minister Shinzō Abe of Japan, Prime Minister Jung Hong-won of the Republic of Korea, President Almazbek Atambayev and Prime Minister Djoomart Otorbaev of Kyrgyzstan, President Emomali Rahmon of Tajikistan, President Islam Karimov of Uzbekistan, President Abdullah Gül and Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan of Turkey, Acting President William Ruto of Kenya, President James Michel of Seychelles, Prime Minister Moussa Mara of Mali, President Nicolás Maduro of Venezuela, President Evo Morales of Bolivia, President Dalia Grybauskait and Prime Minister Algirdas Butkevicius of Lithuania, Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk of Ukraine and others.

Besides, other countries including India, the Philippines, Iran, Egypt, South Sudan, Comoros, Suriname, Colombia, and Guyana and the international organizations including the International Civil Defence Organization (ICDO) also extended condolences to China in different ways.
