On July 7, 2016, Vice Foreign Minister Wang Chao visited the Embassy of Trinidad and Tobago in China to offer condolences to former Prime Minister Patrick Manning of Trinidad and Tobago and left messages on the condolence book. Charge d'Affaires ad interim Ayesha Wharton of the Embassy of Trinidad and Tobago in China thanked Vice Foreign Minister Wang Chao for paying condolences.
