On September 2, 2016, Vice Foreign Minister Wang Chao met with Former President and Special Envoy for Asia-Pacific Affairs Eduardo Frei Ruit-Tagle of Chile, who was in China to hold the second "Chile Week". Both sides exchanged views on bilateral relations and cooperation in relevant fields between the two countries.
