On March 10, 2017, Vice Foreign Minister Wang Chao and Undersecretary of State for Foreign Relations Gustavo Rodolfo Zlauvinen of Argentina held the second meeting of political sub-committee of China-Argentina inter-governmental standing committee in Beijing.

Both sides spoke highly of the substantial development of bilateral cooperation in various fields since the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Argentina 45 years ago, and exchanged in-depth views on bilateral relations and international and regional issues of common concern. Both sides agreed to further enhance political mutual trust, expand practical cooperation, intensify people-to-people and cultural exchanges, and deepen coordination and cooperation in international and regional affairs, so as to push China-Argentina comprehensive strategic partnership for sustained and in-depth development.
