From April 11 to 12, 2017, the meeting of BRICS special envoys on Middle East was held in Vishakhapatnam, India. Special Envoy of the Chinese Government on the Middle East Issue Gong Xiaosheng led a delegation to attend the meeting, and exchanged in-depth views with special envoys on Middle East issue from India, Russia, Brazil and South Africa on the current Middle East situation, regional hotspot issues, the enhancement of coordination and cooperation on the Middle East affairs as well as other topics.
