On September 12, 2017, Vice Foreign Minister Zhang Yesui and First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Marcelino Medina Gonzalez of Cuba held the political consultation between Chinese and Cuban Foreign Ministries in Beijing.

Both sides fully exchanged views on consolidating and developing bilateral friendly cooperation under the new situation. The two sides also had an in-depth exchange of views on international and regional topics of common interests.
