On November 24, 2017, Assistant Foreign Minister Qin Gang met with outgoing Chilean Ambassador to China Jorge Heine. Qin Gang appreciated Jorge Heine's efforts in actively promoting the development of China-Chile relations during his tenure, and hoped that he would continue contributing to boosting friendly cooperation between both countries. Jorge Heine thanked China for its strong support during his term of office, and expressed that he will continuously care for and support bilateral friendly cause, as well as deliver his recognition and feelings of China to the Chilean people. Qin Gang also introduced the spirit of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and communicated with Jorge Heine on state governance and administration.
