On November 28, 2017, Assistant Foreign Minister Qin Gang held group work communication with diplomatic envoys of 19 Latin American and Caribbean countries to China.
In his speech, Assistant Foreign Minister Qin Gang reviewed the groundbreaking achievements in China-Latin America relations in recent years, and pointed out that the major-country diplomacy with Chinese characteristics in the new era will push forward the building of a new type of international relations and of a community with a shared future for mankind, which will bring more opportunities for the development of Latin America. The Chinese side stands ready to, together with Latin America, enhance the integration of development strategies within the "Belt and Road" framework, jointly build a community with a shared future for China and Latin America, and guide China-Latin America cooperation to a new stage. Assistant Foreign Minister Qin Gang also exchanged views with diplomatic envoys of various countries on China-Latin America practical cooperation, people-to-people and cultural exchanges, cooperation in China-Latin America Forum and other topics.
Speaking highly of China's development achievements and appreciating China's policy towards Latin America, the diplomatic envoys all expressed the willingness to work with China to push forward Latin America-China relations and bilateral cooperation in various fields for constant and in-depth development.
