On July 16, 2019, Special Representative of the Chinese Government on Latin American Affairs Liu Yuqin attended the reception marking the 46th anniversary of the independence of Bahamas held by the Bahamian Embassy in Chinaup at the invitation. She addressed the function and exchanged views with Bahamian Ambassador to China Sterling Quant on China-Bahamas relations and other topics.
