Assistant Foreign Minister Cai Wei Meets with Brazilian Vice Foreign Minister Susan Kleebank

On October 15, 2025, Assistant Foreign Minister Cai Wei met with Brazilian Vice Foreign Minister Susan Kleebank, who is in China for the Global Leaders' Meeting on Women, at the latter's request.

Cai Wei welcomed Susan Kleebank's participation in the meeting in China, saying that under the strategic guidance of the two heads of state, the China-Brazil community with a shared future has made a good start. China is ready to work with Brazil to implement the important common understandings reached by the two heads of state, continue promoting the synergy of their development strategies, strengthen coordination on global governance and major international and regional issues, and amplify the voice of justice in the Global South.

Susan Kleebank extended congratulations on the successful hosting of the Global Leaders' Meeting on Women and said that Brazil-China relations have been at their best in history. Brazil is willing to work with China to jointly build a Brazil-China community with a shared future for a more just world and a more sustainable planet, making positive contributions to world peace and development.
