On May 22, 2014, Director-General of the Department of Consular Affairs of the Foreign Ministry Huang Ping and Acting Assistant Secretary of State of the State Department Michele Bond of the US held the 8th round of China-US Consultation on Consular Affairs in Beijing. Both sides made in-depth exchanges of views on promoting the development of consular relations, facilitating personnel exchanges, enhancing the protection of legitimate rights and interests of citizens and other topics.
