Assistant Foreign Minister Liu Jianchao Meets with Representatives of Overseas Chinese Attending Third Session of Twelfth CPPCC National Committee as Nonvoting Delegates

On March 10, 2015, Assistant Foreign Minister Liu Jianchao met at the Diaoyutai State Guesthouse with representatives of overseas Chinese who were invited to Beijing to attend the Third Session of the Twelfth National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) as nonvoting delegates.

Liu introduced China's political and economic situations as well as diplomatic and consular work in 2014, and fully recognized the overseas Chinese's efforts over the years in supporting China's reform and development, spreading Chinese culture, promoting the friendship between Chinese and foreign peoples and others. He said that the Chinese Foreign Ministry and embassies and consulates stationed abroad will continue to provide high-quality services for overseas Chinese, and expressed his hope that the overseas Chinese could actively take part in the great course of realizing rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. The representatives highly praised China's development achievements, and said that they will continue to contribute their efforts to advancing China's economic and social development and promoting exchanges and cooperation between China and foreign countries.
