On October 24, 2024, Director-General of the Department of Consular Affairs of the Foreign Ministry Long Zhou met with visiting Director of the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Viet Nam Doãn Hoàng Minh at the latter's request. The two sides had an exchange of views on consular relations between China and Viet Nam. Both sides agreed to deepen bilateral consular cooperation to serve the economic and social development of both countries and inject new impetus into the development of bilateral relations and practical cooperation in various fields.
