The Department of Treaty and Law of the Foreign Ministry and the Department of Justice of the Government of the Hong Kong SAR Hold Work Consultation on Hong Kong-related Treaties and Laws

On October 18, 2024, Director-General of the Department of Treaty and Law of the Foreign Ministry Ma Xinmin and Secretary for Justice of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (SAR) Paul Lam Ting-kwok held a work consultation on Hong Kong-related treaties and laws in the Hong Kong SAR. Relevant officials from the Commissioner's Office of China's Foreign Ministry in the Hong Kong SAR were present.

The two sides took stock of the latest progress of the recent work on Hong Kong-related treaties and laws, and had an in-depth exchange of views on promoting the establishment of an international mediation court, Hong Kong's participation in China's foreign-related rule of law building, deepening legal exchanges and cooperation between the SAR and other countries and strengthening the training of foreign-related legal personnel, among others.
