On September 29, 2022, Director-General of the Protocol Department of the Foreign Ministry Hong Lei accepted the copies of credentials respectively presented by the newly-appointed Ambassador of the Bahamas to China Paulette Bethel and newly-appointed Ambassador of Estonia to China Hannes Hanso. Ambassador Bethel arrived in China on August 31, and Ambassador Hanso arrived in China on September 18.
