On October 12, 2020, Director-General of the Department of Arms Control of the Foreign Ministry Fu Cong and Director for Security Policy at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands Hester Somsen co-held the first round of China-Netherlands consultation on arms control via videolink. The two sides exchanged views on topics of common interest covering nuclear disarmament and non-proliferation, biological and chemical weapons, export control and cyber security.
