External Security Commissioner of the Foreign Ministry Cheng Guoping Meets with Turkish Ambassador to China Abdulkadir Emin Onen

On February, 26, 2021, External Security Commissioner of the Foreign Ministry Cheng Guoping met with Turkish Ambassador to China Abdulkadir Emin Onen. Both sides exchanged views on issues such as bilateral relations and security cooperation between the two countries.

Cheng Guoping said facing the challenge of the COVID-19 pandemic, China and Turkey have stood together and supported each other, and their cooperation in various fields has made positive progress. This year marks the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Turkey. China is willing to work with Turkey to implement the important consensus reached by the two heads of state, deepen cooperation in security and other fields, and promote greater development of China-Turkey relations.

Onen spoke highly of the achievements of cooperation between Turkey and China in various fields, saying that Turkey is willing to take the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations as an opportunity to strengthen high-level exchanges, deepen cooperation in various fields, and promote bilateral relations to achieve more results.
