Director-General of the Department of European Affairs of the Foreign Ministry Li Jian Holds a Group Meeting with Diplomatic Envoys of Central and Eastern European Countries to China

On December 12, 2024, Director-General of the Department of European Affairs of the Foreign Ministry and Executive Secretary-General of the Secretariat of Cooperation between China and Central and Eastern European Countries (CEEC) Li Jian held a group meeting with diplomatic envoys of Central and Eastern European countries to China.

Li Jian said, since the beginning of this year, China-CEEC cooperation has been growing steadily, advancing dialogue and exchanges in various fields within the mechanism in an all-round way, which further demonstrates the resilience and vitality of cooperation. Under the new circumstances, China and CEEC should strengthen their confidence in cooperation, focus on the pragmatic nature of the mechanism, promote exchanges and mutual learning, and constantly consolidate the pattern of complementarity and mutual reinforcement between "cooperation" and bilateral and China-Europe relations, so as to promote greater development of China-CEEC and China-Europe relations.

The CEEC envoys made positive comments on the progress achieved in the "cooperation", expressed their continued support for and active participation in the activities within the framework of the mechanism, and put forward constructive suggestions on the next step in promoting "cooperation".
