Diplomatic Envoys of Central and Eastern European Countries Visit High-Tech Enterprises in Beijing

On February 25, 2025, the Secretariat of Cooperation between China and Central and Eastern European Countries (China-CEEC Cooperation) organized diplomatic envoys of Central and Eastern European countries to China to visit high-tech enterprises in Beijing. A total of 17 ambassadors and embassy representatives from Serbia, Slovakia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Romania, Bulgaria, North Macedonia, Montenegro, Slovenia and other countries attended the event. They were accompanied by Executive Secretary-General of the Secretariat of China-CEEC Cooperation and Director-General of the Department of European Affairs of the Foreign Ministry Li Jian.

The diplomatic envoys visited the Huawei Exhibition Center, Baidu's Apollo Go Autonomous Driving R&D Center, and Xiaomi's EV Factory. They gained in-depth insights into the independent research and development and innovative practices of Chinese high-tech enterprises in intelligent manufacturing and digital fields. They also experienced firsthand technologies and products such as new energy vehicles, autonomous driving, and smart home systems. Witnessing the strong momentum that scientific and technological innovation has brought to Chinese modernization, the diplomatic envoys expressed their willingness to serve as a bridge and bond to foster scientific and technological innovation as a new growth driver for China-CEEC Cooperation and achieve common development in the fields of digitalization and green transition.
