Assistant Foreign Minister Hong Lei Attends the Reception Celebrating the 75th Anniversary of the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations between China and Finland

On October 15, Assistant Foreign Minister Hong Lei, upon invitation, attended the reception hosted by the Embassy of Finland in China to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Finland.

Hong Lei stated that under the strategic guidance of President Xi Jinping and President Alexander Stubb, China-Finland relations have maintained steady development. Both sides are actively implementing the outcomes of the meeting between the two heads of state and comprehensively advancing exchanges and cooperation in politics, diplomacy, economy, trade, investment, scientific and technological innovation, green transition and other fields within the framework of the Joint Action Plan between China and Finland. China is ready to work with Finland to uphold the original aspiration of establishing diplomatic relations, carry forward traditional friendship, and continuously promote new developments in China-Finland relations.

Permanent State Secretary at the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland Jukka Salovaara said that over the 75 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations, Finland-China relations have developed steadily, with continuous progress in exchanges across various fields. Finland is willing to continue strengthening cooperation with China in areas such as the circular economy, forestry, and water conservancy, so as to jointly address global challenges.
