Xi Jinping noted that Finland, known as the beautiful "land of a thousand lakes", was one of the first European countries to sign an intergovernmental trade agreement with China. Over the past 75 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Finland, bilateral relations have transcended differences in social systems and ideologies and stood the test of changes in the international landscape. Cooperation in political, economic, trade and cultural fields has continued to deepen. In October last year, President Alexander Stubb paid a successful state visit to China. The two presidents jointly drew a blueprint for the growth of the future-oriented new-type cooperative partnership between China and Finland. Xi Jinping said that he attaches great importance to the development of China-Finland relations and is ready to work with President Alexander Stubb to inherit and carry forward the traditional friendship between the two countries, lead China-Finland cooperation in various fields to break new ground, and jointly advance an equal and orderly multipolar world and a universally beneficial and inclusive economic globalization.

Alexander Stubb said that Finland-China relations are close and have a solid foundation. Over the past 75 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations, bilateral relations have developed steadily with continuously expanding cooperation. Alexander Stubb noted that during his first state visit to China in October last year, the two sides issued the Joint Action Plan between China and Finland on Promoting the Future-oriented New-type Cooperative Partnership 2025-2029. The international community trusts China's role as a permanent member of the United Nations Security Council. He said he looks forward to continuing dialogue with President Xi Jinping on bilateral and global issues.
