The Third Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) made systematic plans for further deepening reform comprehensively to advance Chinese modernization, and made it clear that China will continue to promote high-standard opening-up and build a new system of open economy at a higher level, which will provide a strong driving force and institutional guarantee for Chinese modernization, while offering new opportunities for countries around the world. China seeks to promote a modernized world that enjoys peaceful development, mutually beneficial cooperation and common prosperity. Hua Chunying expressed the hope that foreign journalists will leverage their resident advantage to record the spectacular achievements of China in the new era and tell the world engaging stories of China, the Chinese people and the CPC.

Yu Junsheng and Wen Xian briefed separately the participants on Beijing's new achievements in implementing the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region's coordinated development strategy and building "five major centers", as well as the results of the comprehensive treatment of Liangma River, saying that Beijing is ready to continue to maintain exchanges and cooperation with foreign media and provide meticulous and thoughtful services.
