From March 21 to 23, 2022, Special Envoy of the Chinese Government on the Middle East Issue Zhai Jun visited Sudan. Chairman of Sudan's Sovereignty Council Abdel Fattah al-Burhan met Zhai Jun and others. The two sides exchanged views on China-Sudan relations, the situation in Sudan and other issues of common concern.

During his visit to Sudan, Special Envoy Zhai Jun also met with Chairperson of the National Umma Party Fadlallah Baramah Nasser.

Chinese Ambassador to Sudan Ma Xinmin attended the above activities.
