On May 27, 2017, President Xi Jinping sent a message of condolences to President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi of Egypt to convey deep sorrow to the innocent victims of the severe terrorist attack in Minya Province of Egypt on May 26, and extended sincere condolences to President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, the bereaved families and the wounded.

In his message, Xi Jinping pointed out that China firmly opposes terrorism in any form and strongly condemns the barbaric terrorist attack. The Chinese side firmly supports the efforts of Egypt to safeguard national security and stability and fight against terrorism.
