President Xi Jinping Appoints New Ambassadors

Recently, President of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping announced the appointment of the following new Ambassadors in line with decisions adopted by the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress:

I. Chen Hai was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, replacing Hong Liang.

II. Chang Hua was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to the Islamic Republic of Iran, replacing Pang Sen.

III. Liao Liqiang was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to the Arab Republic of Egypt, replacing Song Aiguo.

IV. Xu Erwen (female) was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to the Republic of Croatia, replacing Hu Zhaoming.

V. Yi Xianliang was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to the Kingdom of Norway, replacing Wang Min.

VI. Chen Xu was appointed Permanent Representative and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to the United Nations Office at Geneva and other International Organizations in Switzerland, replacing Yu Jianhua.
