On the evening of July 22, 2019, President Xi Jinping met again with Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), who was in China for a state visit, at the Diaoyutai State Guesthouse. The leaders of the two countries continued to have in-depth exchanges of views on China-UAE relations and international and regional issues of common concern in a relaxing and friendly atmosphere.

Xi Jinping pointed out, we had very successful and fruitful talks this morning and witnessed the exchange of a number of bilateral cooperation agreements with rich content and covering wider fields, which is rare indeed. These cooperation agreements reflected that the bilateral relations are rich in content and have a strategic nature.

Xi Jinping stressed, the Chinese civilization has been lasting for more than 5,000 years while absorbing various foreign civilizations and continuously developing in an inclusive manner. The joint construction of the Belt and Road Initiative exactly stems from the concept in the Chinese culture that "all people under the heaven are of one family". The initiative is aimed at promoting exchanges and cooperation between different countries. The UAE also champions a spirit of openness and inclusiveness and makes important contributions to promoting exchanges and mutual learning among different civilizations. Such gestures were widely acknowledged by the international community. The two countries should jointly promote dialogues among civilizations and push for steady and long-term development of China-UAE comprehensive strategic partnership, so as to make new contributions to world peace, harmony and common development.

Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan expressed, the talks I had with you this morning were very substantial and meaningful. I have benefitted immensely from your insights into bilateral relations and the international situation. Thanks to the joint efforts of both sides, UEA-China cooperation has been fruitful. It is believed that the exchange of multiple agreements on practical cooperation witnessed by us will bring more benefits to the two countries and the two peoples. I completely agree with the great initiative of building a community with a shared future for mankind put forth by you. The UAE side is ready to constantly deepen UAE-China comprehensive strategic partnership.
