On November 26, 2019, Assistant Foreign Minister Chen Xiaodong and Secretary General of the Foreign Ministry Rachid Bladehane of Algeria held the political consultation between the two Foreign Ministries.

Chen Xiaodong expressed, China and Algeria enjoy traditional friendship. The two countries have always understood and supported each other, and achieved fruitful cooperation in various fields, bringing tangible benefits to the two peoples. The Chinese side is willing to work with the Algerian side to strengthen exchanges and cooperation within the frameworks of the joint construction of the Belt and Road Initiative and the forums on China-Africa and China-Arab states cooperation, so as to continuously enrich the connotations of the bilateral comprehensive strategic partnership.

Rachid Bladehane congratulated on the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China and expressed admiration for China's high-level development achievements and high-quality national governance. Rachid Bladehane expressed, the Chinese and Algerian people enjoy an extraordinary friendship. The Algerian side highly values the development of China-Algeria relations and stands ready to work with the Chinese side to further cement political mutual trust, enhance practical cooperation in various fields and continue to intensify communication and coordination in international and regional affairs, so as to elevate China-Algeria comprehensive strategic partnership to new highs.

Both sides also exchanged views on international and regional issues of common concern.
