On January 14, 2020, Director-General of the Department of International Organizations and Conferences of the Foreign Ministry Yang Tao and Redouane Houssaini, Director General of the United Nations and International Organizations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates of Morocco held consultation on multilateral affairs in Beijing, during which they exchanged views on bilateral cooperation in multilateral areas and topics of common interest.

Both sides believed, as this year marks the 75th anniversary of the United Nations (UN), the international community should take it as an opportunity to uphold multilateralism, safeguard the international system with the UN at its core and strengthen the role of the UN.
