The ninth Ministerial Conference of the China-Arab States Cooperation Forum (CASCF) was held on 6 July via video link. President Xi Jinping sent a congratulatory message to the Conference.

Xi emphasized that, "At the eighth CASCF Ministerial Conference held in 2018, I announced the establishment of the Sino-Arab strategic partnership and proposed building a community with a shared future for China and Arab States as part of the joint efforts to build a community with a shared future for mankind. This initiative has been warmly received by Arab states. Over the past two years, our two sides have enhanced coordination on both strategic affairs and concrete actions. Working together, we have taken the Sino-Arab future-oriented strategic partnership of comprehensive cooperation and common development to greater depth."

Xi noted that, "In the face of COVID-19, China and Arab states have stood firmly together and demonstrated great solidarity through mutual support and close cooperation. This is a vivid example of how we pursue our shared future. Given the current situation, we need more than ever to step up cooperation to navigate this trying time and move forward together. I call on both sides to take the opportunity presented by this Conference to increase strategic communication and coordination and push cooperation against COVID-19 and in other fields steadily forward. Let us work together for greater and more solid progress in building the community with a shared future for China and Arab states and deliver more benefits to our peoples."
