On September 3, 2020, Director-General of the Department of Asian Affairs of the Foreign Ministry Wu Jianghao had a video call with Director of the Asian and Pacific Cooperation Department of the Foreign Ministry Ovchinnikov Alexey Mikhailovich of Russia, exchanging views on topics including international and regional situation and regional cooperation in East Asia, and reaching extensive consensuses. Both sides agreed that China and Russia should continue to maintain close communication, strengthen coordination and cooperation, and jointly boost peace, stability and development in the region.
