On February 16, 2025, Special Envoy Zhai Jun of the Chinese Government on the Middle East Issue met with Foreign Minister of Oman Badr Albusaidi on the sidelines of the 8th Indian Ocean Conference in Oman.
Zhai Jun said that China and Oman have a traditional friendship. In recent years, the political mutual trust between China and Oman has been continuously strengthened, and practical cooperation in various fields has been steadily advancing. China is ready to work with Oman to enhance exchanges at all levels, continue to firmly support each other on issues concerning each other's core interests, deepen mutually beneficial cooperation, strengthen communication and coordination on regional and international affairs, and promote further development of China-Oman relations.
Badr Albusaidi said that Oman and China have a long history of friendship and solid strategic mutual trust. Oman will firmly abide by the one-China principle, and is willing to continuously deepen friendly cooperation between the two sides in various fields such as economy, trade, investment, and science and technology, strengthen communication and coordination on regional and international affairs, and jointly maintain peace and stability in the Middle East.
