On April 21, 2025, Special Envoy Zhai Jun of the Chinese Government on the Middle East Issue met with Undersecretary of the Foreign Ministry of Oman Sheikh Khalifa Alharthy in Beijing. Zhai Jun said that the China-Oman strategic partnership has maintained sound and stable development, and cooperation in various fields has achieved fruitful results. China appreciates the important role played by Oman in promoting the settlement of regional hotspot issues and easing regional tensions. Sheikh Khalifa Alharthy said that Oman is willing to deepen mutually beneficial cooperation with China, strengthen coordination and cooperation in international and regional affairs, and work for greater development of China-Oman relations.
