On December 30, 2024, Vice Foreign Minister Chen Xiaodong went to the Embassy of India in China to mourn the passing of former Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, and wrote an inscription on the condolence book. Indian Ambassador to China Pradeep Kumar Rawat expressed his gratitude to Vice Minister Chen Xiaodong for coming to express condolences on behalf of the Chinese government.
