On June 26, 2025, Assistant Foreign Minister Liu Bin met with newly-appointed Ambassador of Israel to China Eliav Belotsercovsky.

Liu Bin welcomed Eliav Belotsercovsky on assuming his new post in China, noting that the Chinese people and the Jewish people enjoy a traditional friendship. China is ready to strengthen exchanges and cooperation with Israel in various fields. China closely follows the developments in the Middle East region and has consistently held that the use of force cannot bring lasting peace, and that dialogue and negotiation are the right ways to resolve issues. He expressed the hope that all relevant parties will act in the fundamental interests of the people in their countries and of the region, implement a ceasefire in earnest, and work to de-escalate the regional situation.

Eliav Belotsercovsky expressed appreciation for China's remarkable achievements in development. He said that Israel attaches great importance to developing its relations with China, remains committed to the one-China principle, and looks forward to deepening mutually beneficial cooperation with China across various sectors. He also briefed the Chinese side on Israel's views and position on the current situation in the Middle East.
