On June 26, 2025, Vice Foreign Minister Miao Deyu met with Special Secretary for United Nations Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan Nabeel Munir.

Miao Deyu stated that China and Pakistan are ironclad friends and all-weather strategic partners. Against the backdrop of intertwined changes and chaos in the international landscape, China is ready to deepen high-level cooperation with Pakistan, including in United Nations affairs, to safeguard common interests. China will fully support Pakistan in its role as the rotating president of the United Nations Security Council for July.

Nabeel Munir said that Pakistan attaches great importance to maintaining close communication and coordination with China in both bilateral and multilateral fields, and is willing to leverage its role as the rotating president of the Security Council to make positive contributions to safeguarding international peace and security.
