
On September 22, 2025, Assistant Foreign Minister Liu Bin, upon invitation, attended the Independence Day reception hosted by the Embassy of Armenia in China.
Liu Bin extended congratulations on Armenia's Independence Day and noted that under the strategic planning and guidance of President Xi Jinping and Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, China-Armenia relations have been upgraded, reaching a high level of strategic partnership. At the new starting point, China is ready to work with Armenia to consolidate political mutual trust, deepen mutually beneficial cooperation, continue the traditional friendship, and better support the development and revitalization of both countries for the benefit of their peoples. President Xi Jinping proposed the Global Governance Initiative during the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Tianjin Summit. China is ready to work with Armenia to jointly implement the initiative and promote the building of a community with a shared future for mankind.
Ambassador of Armenia to China Vahe Gevorgyan said that 2025 is a "harvest year" for Armenia-China relations. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan came to China to attend the SCO Plus meeting and the commemoration of the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War, during which the two leaders announced the establishment of a strategic partnership between Armenia and China. Armenia is willing to deepen cooperation in various fields with China under the new positioning of bilateral relations. Armenia highly appreciates the Global Governance Initiative proposed by President Xi Jinping and supports international cooperation on this initiative.
