On September 23, 2025, Assistant Foreign Minister Liu Bin, upon invitation, attended the reception hosted by the Embassy of Saudi Arabia in China for the 95th anniversary of its country's National Day.

Liu Bin extended congratulations on the National Day of Saudi Arabia, and stated that Saudi Arabia is an important member of the Arab world and the Islamic world, as well as an important comprehensive strategic partner of China. Over the 35 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations, the two countries have always upheld the original aspiration of establishing diplomatic relations, adhered to mutual respect, mutual trust, mutual benefit and mutual learning, leading to the comprehensive, rapid and in-depth development of bilateral relations. Particularly in recent years, under the strategic guidance of the leaders of both countries, the relationship between China and Saudi Arabia has continued to deepen, writing a new chapter of solidarity, cooperation, mutual benefit and win-win results among developing countries. China is ready to work with Saudi Arabia to take the 35th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries as an opportunity to advance the comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Saudi Arabia to a higher level. President Xi Jinping proposed the Global Governance Initiative at the "Shanghai Cooperation Organization Plus" meeting. China is ready to work with the international community, including Saudi Arabia, to promote the implementation of the initiative and make active efforts to build a more just and equitable global governance system.

Ambassador of Saudi Arabia to China Abdulrahman Ahmad Al-Harbi stated that the friendship between Saudi Arabia and China has a long history.
