Vice Foreign Minister Miao Deyu Attends Reception for the 65th Anniversary of Kuwait's National Day

On February 11, 2026, Vice Foreign Minister Miao Deyu, upon invitation, attended the reception hosted by the Embassy of Kuwait in China to celebrate the 65th anniversary of Kuwait's National Day, and met with Ambassador of Kuwait to China Jasem Ibrahem Al-Najem.

Miao Deyu extended congratulations on Kuwait's National Day and stated that in recent years, under the strategic guidance of President Xi Jinping and Emir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, China-Kuwait relations have continued to deepen and become more substantive. China highly values the development of its relations with Kuwait and is willing to strengthen communication and coordination with Kuwait, fully implement the important common understandings reached by the two heads of state, and continuously elevate China-Kuwait relations to new heights. Noting that China will host the second China-Arab States Summit this year, Miao Deyu expressed the belief that with the support of Kuwait and other countries, the summit will inject new and strong momentum into the development of China-Arab relations.

Jasem Ibrahem Al-Najem stated that Kuwait attaches great importance to the development of relations with China, and admires the great achievements China has made in its development. Kuwait is willing to take the 55th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries as an opportunity to strengthen coordination and synergy with China, expand cooperation and exchanges in various fields, and continuously promote new progress in bilateral relations. Kuwait supports China in hosting the second China-Arab States Summit and is willing to work with China to ensure the summit's complete success.
