On December 3, 2025, Assistant Foreign Minister Liu Bin, upon invitation, attended the National Day reception hosted by the Embassy of Thailand in China, and exchanged views with Ambassador of Thailand to China Chatchai Viriyavejakul on China-Thailand relations and other topics.
Liu Bin extended congratulations on Thailand's National Day, and stated that this year marks the 50th anniversary of the establishment of China-Thailand diplomatic relations and the "Golden Jubilee of China-Thailand Friendship". Not long ago, King Maha Vajiralongkorn Phra Vajiraklaochaoyuhua made a successful state visit to China, during which President Xi Jinping had a cordial meeting with him and laid out strategic plans for deepening the building of the China-Thailand community with a shared future under new circumstances. The fourth plenary session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China deliberated over and adopted the Recommendations for Formulating the 15th Five-Year Plan, outlining a systematic blueprint for China's economic and social development over the next five years. Thailand is also at a critical stage of national development and revitalization. China is ready to work with Thailand to jointly implement the important common understandings reached by the two heads of state, accelerate efforts to advance practical cooperation in areas such as connectivity, digital economy, aviation and aerospace, deepen people-to-people and cultural exchanges, enhance mutual understanding and affinity between the two peoples, and contribute to the modernization processes of both nations.
Chatchai Viriyavejakul said that King Maha Vajiralongkorn Phra Vajiraklaochaoyuhua's historic state visit to China was a complete success, becoming an important milestone in the history of Thailand-China relations. Thailand is willing to work with China to fully implement the important outcomes of the visit, deepen all-round strategic cooperation, and continuously promote new progress in the building of the Thailand-China community with a shared future. Thailand firmly adheres to the one-China policy and does not support any "Taiwan independence" claims.
