On September 9, 2026, Director-General of the Department of Asian Affairs of the Foreign Ministry Shen Minjuan met with Khalil-ur-Rahman Hashmi, outgoing Ambassador of Pakistan to China.

Shen Minjuan positively commented on Ambassador Khalil-ur-Rahman Hashmi’s contributions to advancing China-Pakistan relations during his tenure, stating that the China-Pakistan all-weather strategic cooperative partnership has continued to deepen and grow under the strategic guidance of the leaders of the two countries.
