On 25 March 2024, H.E. Cao Zhongming, Ambassador-designate of the People's Republic of China to the Republic of Singapore, presented the copy of his Letter of Credence to Mr. Chia Wei Wen, Chief of Protocol of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Singapore.

Ambassador Cao said that last year President Xi Jinping and Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong announced to elevate China-Singapore relations to an All-Round High-Quality Future-Oriented Partnership. As the new Chinese Ambassador to Singapore, he will fulfill his noble mission and important duty of promoting the continuous development of China-Singapore relations, and implement the leaders’ consensuses with concrete actions. Ambassador Cao also thanked the Singaporean government for facilitating his arrival.

Mr. Chia warmly welcomed Ambassador Cao on behalf of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Singapore, reaffirmed the good momentum of Singapore-China relations, and said that the Protocol Directorate will provide Ambassador Cao with convenience and assistance to perform his duties.  

Ambassador Cao Zhongming arrived in Singapore on 24 March 2024.
