From November 18 to 20, 2022, Special Envoy Zhai Jun of the Chinese Government on the Middle East Issue visited Bahrain and attended Manama Dialogue, and met respectively with the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Bahrain Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Infrastructure Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, and Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdullatif bin Rashid AlZayani. They exchanged views on bilateral relations, the building of the China-Arab States Cooperation Forum and international and regional issues of mutual interest and concern.

During his visit to Bahrain, Special Envoy Zhai Jun also met with Yemeni Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ahmed Awad Bin Mubarak, and the Special Envoy of the United Nations Secretary-General for Yemen Hans Grundberg at request. They exchanged views on China-Yemen relations, and the Yemeni issue, among others.
