Special Representative Qiu Xiaoqi of the Chinese Government on Latin American Affairs Visits Bolivia

On November 25, 2022, Special Representative Qiu Xiaoqi of the Chinese Government on Latin American Affairs visited Bolivia, and met respectively with Bolivian President Luis Arce, President of the Senate Andrónico Rodríguez, and Foreign Minister Rogelio Mayta. Chinese Ambassador to Bolivia Huang Yazhong was present at relevant events.

Special Representative Qiu Xiaoqi gave a comprehensive and in-depth introduction to the vital significance and worldwide influence of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC), and exchanged views with Bolivia on advancing mutually beneficial cooperation in various fields and strengthening multilateral coordination, among others. He said that China stands ready to work with Bolivia to consolidate traditional friendship and jointly work for new progress in the China-Bolivia strategic partnership. Bolivia warmly congratulated on the success of the 20th CPC National Congress and President Xi Jinping’s re-election as General Secretary of the CPC Central Committee, and thanked China for helping Bolivia combat the pandemic and giving the country staunch support in economic recovery. Bolivia is ready to work with China to further enhance exchanges and cooperation in politics, economy and trade, cultural and people-to-people exchanges, and other fields, so as to elevate Bolivia-China relations to a higher level and for better benefit of the two peoples.
