On October 5, 2023, Member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Director of the Office of the Central Commission for Foreign Affairs Wang Yi had a group meeting with foreign guests attending the 3rd China Xizang Trans-Himalaya Forum for International Cooperation in Nyingchi, Xizang.

Wang Yi said that the Trans-Himalaya Forum for International Cooperation is an important platform for Xizang to strengthen mutual understanding with other countries and an important window for Xizang to be open to the outside world for exchanges. The theme of this Forum is "Promoting the Harmony of Humans and Nature, Sharing the Fruits of Cooperation and Development," which is the epitome of Xi Jinping Thought on Ecological Civilization and also a concrete action to respond to the proposition of a community between humanity and nature and a shared future for all life on earth advocated by President Xi Jinping.

Wang Yi introduced the changes of Xizang's development miracle of a "thousand-year leap" under the leadership of the Communist Party of China, and emphasized that under the guidance of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for the New Era, Xizang has made all-round progress and historic achievements in every cause. China welcomes friends from all other countries to Xizang to personally witness Xizang's tremendous achievements in its economic and social development, the happy life of people of all ethnic groups, and the true situation of perfect inheritance and preservation of the Tibetan culture. Facts will prove that Xizang-related lies concocted by some Western forces out of ideological bias will not hold water at all and will be busted finally.

Foreign guests said that they have personally witnessed Xizang's good ecology, unique culture, growing economy, and people's happy life during their attendance at the Forum in Xizang, and they look forward to making good use of the Forum as a platform to further strengthen exchanges and cooperation with Xizang and China and give play to respective advantages to jointly respond to climate change and other challenges, protect the ecological environment, and realize sustainable development.
