Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov Meets with Wang Yi

On November 19, 2025 local time, Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov met with Member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Foreign Minister Wang Yi in Bishkek.

Sadyr Japarov asked Wang Yi to convey his warm greetings to President Xi Jinping, and extended congratulations on China's remarkable development achievements. He noted that the saying "a good neighbor is a priceless treasure" vividly describes Kyrgyzstan-China relations. The Kyrgyzstan-China relationship is now at its best in history. Kyrgyzstan is willing to work with China to maintain close high-level exchanges, expand the scale of trade, advance the construction of the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway, and build a new model of solid friendship between the two countries. Kyrgyzstan will work with China to strengthen cooperation in key areas such as civil aviation, logistics and border ports to enhance connectivity, step up security cooperation, and jointly combat the three forces of terrorism, separatism and extremism, so as to comprehensively advance the Kyrgyzstan-China comprehensive strategic partnership for a new era. Kyrgyzstan highly appreciates and supports the four major global initiatives proposed by President Xi Jinping, and is willing to strengthen coordination and cooperation with China within the United Nations and the China-Central Asia mechanism. Sadyr Japarov expressed the hope that China will support Kyrgyzstan in assuming the rotating presidency of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) and work together to promote regional security, stability, prosperity and development.

Wang Yi conveyed President Xi Jinping's sincere greetings to Sadyr Japarov, noting that head-of-state diplomacy plays an irreplaceable role in leading the development of bilateral relations. President Sadyr Japarov and President Xi Jinping have had three meetings this year, providing top-level design and strategic guarantee for the development of bilateral relations. China will always be a trustworthy friend and reliable partner of Kyrgyzstan. China will continue to support Kyrgyzstan in safeguarding its sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity and in pursuing a development path suited to its national conditions, and oppose any external interference in Kyrgyzstan's internal affairs. China is willing to work with Kyrgyzstan to follow the common understandings reached by the two heads of state, turn cooperation blueprints into concrete actions, take big strides toward achieving their respective modernization, and continuously enrich the China-Kyrgyzstan comprehensive strategic partnership for a new era.

Wang Yi said that the fourth plenary session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) was successfully convened, during which the Recommendations for Formulating the 15th Five-Year Plan were deliberated and adopted. The formulation and implementation of Five-Year Plans is a distinctive strength of socialism with Chinese characteristics. China keeps working on the same blueprint to make it a reality, and advancing socialist modernization through persistent hard work. Under the leadership of President Xi Jinping, China is confident in building on the miracles of rapid economic growth and long-term social stability, and achieving its own development and revitalization while creating greater development opportunities for Kyrgyzstan and all other countries. China is ready to work with Kyrgyzstan, with the goal of building an even closer China-Kyrgyzstan community with a shared future, to strengthen strategic communication and synergy, tighten the bond of economic cooperation, and advance the high-quality, high-standard and efficient construction of the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway. China will work with Kyrgyzstan to build a more robust connectivity framework, accelerate efforts to foster new growth drivers in such cooperation areas as clean energy, digital trade and green mining, and deepen people-to-people and cultural exchanges and mutual learning, so as to elevate cooperation across the board.

Wang Yi said that during the SCO Tianjin Summit, President Xi Jinping put forward the Global Governance Initiative, and President Sadyr Japarov expressed his support promptly, which China highly appreciates. China is ready to fully support Kyrgyzstan's work in its role as the SCO rotating presidency. China highly commends Kyrgyzstan's constructive role within the China-Central Asia mechanism, and stands ready to strengthen coordination and cooperation with Kyrgyzstan at the United Nations and other multilateral platforms, jointly implement the four global initiatives and promote the building of a more just and equitable global governance system. China looks forward to Kyrgyzstan's early accession to the International Organization for Mediation.

On the same day, Wang Yi also held the first China-Kyrgyzstan foreign ministers' strategic dialogue with Kyrgyzstan's Foreign Minister Jeenbek Kulubaev.
